# Nameplates Permissions

The Nameplates mod uses `ks.nameplate.*` plus per-tag permission strings.

## Permission Nodes

| Permission | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `ks.nameplate.user.use` | allowed | All player commands: `open`, `list`, `set`, `remove`, `clear` |
| `ks.nameplate.admin` + `kyuubisoft.nameplates.admin` | staff only | `/ksnameplate admin` (panel, reload, give, take) |

`ks.nameplate.user.use` is allowed unless you set it to `false`.

## Player Commands

| Command | Permission | Description |

| `/ksnameplate open` | `ks.nameplate.user.use` | Open the Tag Browser |
| `/ksnameplate list` | `ks.nameplate.user.use` | List all tags and which ones you may use |
| `/ksnameplate set <tag>` | `ks.nameplate.user.use` + the tag's permission | Activate a tag |
| `/ksnameplate remove <tag>` | `ks.nameplate.user.use` | Deactivate a tag |
| `/ksnameplate clear` | `ks.nameplate.user.use` | Remove all your active tags |

## Admin Commands

Admins need **both** nodes. The second one comes from `permissions.adminPermission` in `config.json` (default `kyuubisoft.nameplates.admin`); rename it there if you want a different node, but keep `ks.nameplate.admin` as well.

## Per-Tag Dynamic Permissions

Each tag definition may include a permission string:

Only players with `nameplates.tag.vip` (or whatever string you choose) can use the tag. Omit the permission to make a tag available to everyone. The shipped tags use `nameplates.tag.owner`, `nameplates.tag.admin`, `nameplates.tag.mod`, `nameplates.tag.vip` and `nameplates.tag.builder`.
